This is the replacement cushion for the Mirage FX Nasal CPAP mask. The gel cushion is comfortable, and the replacement will attach easily to your mask. Spring Air Technology ResMed's patented Spring Air technology makes your cushion lightweight and unobtrusive. Unlike some cushions, the cushion for the Mirage FX is filled with air on the inside, so it's less bulky and more comfortable than most cushions. Additionally, the gel pad won't rub up against your face, and won't leave facial blemishes. Dual-Wall Technology The Mirage FX's dual wall cushion has your comfort in mind. The outer membrane seals against the skin on the outside of your mouth, while the inner cushion rests comfortably on your face.

Why would I need a replacement cushion? Because you breathe directly into the cushion, you're injecting bacteria right into it every night. Some of that can be cleaned, of course, but over time, the cushion will become irreperably dirty. It's best for your therapy if you use a clean mask. So why shouldn't I just replace the mask? Masks are much more expensive than cushions. Most people use several cushions over the life of their mask without harming the effectiveness of their therapy.
